Deadline to Apply to Round 2 of The Road Home Small Rental Property Program is July 31

Baton Rouge, La., July 17, 2007 – The deadline to apply to The Road Home Small Rental Property program is July 31, 2007.

Owners of one- to four-unit buildings may apply, including town homes and condominiums provided that they meet all of the program’s basic eligibility criteria.  To learn if you are eligible and to apply today, visit www.road2la.org/rental or call 1.888.ROAD.2.LA (1.888.762.3252). The Road Home’s Outreach Workshops and Application Training Sessions offer assistance with applications. Visit The Road Home Web site or call the toll-free number to learn about a workshop near you or to reserve a seat at a training session.

The Road Home program is designed to help Louisiana residents affected by Hurricane Katrina or Rita get back into their homes. Working together, Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, the Louisiana Recovery Authority, the Office of Community Development and the Louisiana Legislature created The Small Rental Property program. The program, designed for one- to four-unit rental properties, provides incentives to owners offering affordable work force rental housing for returning residents.
