The Road Home Program Gains Momentum with Help from USAA
BATON ROUGE, La., December 14, 2006 – USAA, a financial services company serving military members and their families, is proactively working with The Road Home to verify insurance data.
USAA, which currently holds policies for approximately 4,000 Road Home applicants, signed on to The Road Home program’s standard exchange of data within a week of being contacted. The company typically turns around verified data within two to three days and works weekends to get it done. This leads to faster calculations of homeowner benefits and ultimately a quicker distribution of awards. The company is one of the first insurance providers to offer assistance in the verification process and sets a precedent The
Road Home hopes other insurance companies will follow.
