Insurance Providers Working to Help Louisiana Residents Come Home
BATON ROUGE, La., Jan. 23, 2007 – Five additional insurance companies have become partners of The Road Home program, program officials announced today. These companies will play a key role in verifying data, a crucial step in the process to close and distribute awards to Road Home applicants. These are the latest in a number of insurance companies that are working with the program to speed up the process of verifying homeowner’s insurance information to quickly move them toward closing to receive their Road Home grants.
These companies have signed agreements with the program that speed up the verification process by eliminating preliminary review of homeowner liability releases and by implementation of Road Home software that allows for immediate verification of large groups of homeowner data. Prior to this agreement, signed releases were required from each homeowner before any insurance information could be exchanged with the program. This partnership does away with the up-front review of the releases and results in faster calculations of homeowner benefits and ultimately a quicker distribution of awards. These companies set a precedent The Road Home hopes other companies will quickly follow.
The following companies have a long-standing reputation of customer service and their cooperation with The Road Home reinforces their commitment to helping Louisiana residents recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and Rita.
