EBONetworks Joins ICF’s Road Home Team
BATON ROUGE, La., Jan. 16, 2007 – ICF International is pleased to announce that EBONetworks, L.L.C. will join its efforts to help bring Louisiana residents back home.
EBONetworks, based in New Orleans, LA is a diversity marketing, media and recruitment firm established in 1999. Within six years, it has become one of the fastest growing marketing firms in the region. They have access to more than 80,000 people through their own media databases. The company, like many Louisiana citizens, was affected by Hurricane Katrina and has focused in its own recovery to help facilitate that of the entire state.
EBONetworks’ capabilities will be an asset to The Road Home program. With the addition of EBONetworks, The Road Home enhances its communications efforts to more effectively reach displaced Louisianans and assist in their return home.
EBONetworks was chosen on a competitive basis from five proposals to provide minority marketing services as part of Louisiana’s Road Home program. Of the two proposals that were elevated for serious consideration, both were qualified minority business enterprises.
The Road Home program is designed to help residents of Louisiana affected by Hurricane Katrina or Rita get back into their homes as quickly and fairly as possible. This groundbreaking program represents the largest single housing recovery program in U.S. history. Working together, Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, the Louisiana Recovery Authority and the Office of Community Development created The Road Home program with the approval of the Louisiana Legislature. The program affords eligible homeowners up to $150,000 in compensation for their losses to get back into their homes.
